Superficies de Respuesta para Cálculo de la Probabilidad de Falla de Estructuras Sismorresistentes
Abstract
The response surface method is utilized to approximate the non linear dynamic response of earthquake resistant structures, to evaluate the annual probability of exceedance of multiple performance levels.
Two explicit second order polynomial expression are presented for the response surface in terms of basic random variables. The spread of the surface, due to additional random variables and the adjust by least-squares method, is also considered, besides of the model uncertainty.
The proposed functions are evaluated through an application to an inverted pendulum structute, comparing the results of probability of failure with simulation (adaptive sampling) using directly the non linear dynamic response.
