Abstract
This paper shows the application of the yield criteria propposed by Hill in 1948 to thin sheet metal forming simulations. Two kind of shell finite elements are considered,
classical and transverse shear deformable ones, both based on a Total Lagrangean Formulation with a logarithmic strain-stress pair. To assess the behavior a recently propposed benchmark is analized.
